Cave Day

As a celebration of our topic Early Man, Dalby forest spent Monday 23rd October as cave men. The children have learnt a huge amount about this prehistoric time. Watching them live as cave men for the day, showed how much they have taken in. The activities through the day were: baking oat cakes, weaving, threading necklaces, cave art, stick pictures and tool making. Our classroom was transformed with no tables or chairs and the children really got into character, looking thoroughly dirty! The children’s outfits were fantastic, as were their attitudes and enthusiasm all day.

Anniversary Plate

As we return to school we are delighted to have our new ‘Anniversary plate’ on display opposite Mrs Whyley’s office.  Family and Friends fundraised and then commissioned potter Karen Raithby, of Pentangle Pottery, to create this beautiful piece to celebrate the school’s 25th Anniversary in 2016.
