On Tuesday 2nd February, Sherwood and Oakhill classes enjoyed a fabulous school trip. Linked to our topics this term, we decided to visit Cliffords Tower and York Castle Museum. After learning about William the Conqueror, the children were thrilled to know that Cliffords Tower was built by the man himself! Although it was very windy, we avoided being blown away and the children loved exploring the tower and learning all about the original castle. The museum gave children an insight into life in the past. We explored an old school room, typical Victorian street, homes in the past and an old prison. We will be using the trip to help us with our learning again next term. Thank you to the parent helpers that were able to attend the trip.
